Wuthering Heights

Category : Music and Movies

This is my first favorite book ever. I’ve read it in Romanian, I’ve read it in English, I’ve read it in French. I might have read it about 5 times now and I was astonished by it every time. Just today I saw the movie and I couldn’t believe this version could depict the story so well. One reason I don’t like movies done after some well-known novels – they do not depict the essence of the book in the right way. But I found the 1992 version of Wuthering Heights at some friend’s. Starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. And man, was it good! I even found a trailer!

If there’s one book you don’t want to miss reading at least once in your entire life, then this is Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights. Just one piece of advice: read the book before watching the movie. You’ll have the entire experience this way. Enjoy!

As for me, I’m going for another well done movie, Hamlet – 1996, featuring Kenneth Bragnah. Quite hard to find. But with good friends around…

Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk

Category : Music and Movies

My God, I cannot believe one of my favorite actors – Edward Norton – is portraying Bruce Banner in the sequel of Hulk (2003)!!! It’s so not him at all (Eric Bana has more of an ass and of some muscles, heheh!) and it’s so him at the same time!

If there’s something I really appreciate about Norton, this is his ability to play ANYTHING! I loved him in all his movies, there isn’t one I don’t love him in. I was intrigued with Fight Club, I was absolutely astonished with The Illusionist, I was crying my ass off in The Painted Veil, he was so good in 25th Hour and The Italian Job and so on and so forth. I love seeing him. And, of course, I’m waiting for The Incredible Hulk, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. So glad, so glad! LOL
