“A man aged 45 was arrested Sept. 19 after being suspected of drug possession in the district of Hampstead Heath,” said a spokesman for London police.

The singer was taken to and received a warning for drug possession of Class A and C, according to police. Under British law, the Class A drugs include crack cocaine.

George Michael, 45, admitted having taken drugs in the past. In 2007, his license was suspended for two years after he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs.

The pop star has sold more than 100 million records around the world and has been held several times leading the hit parade.
