Recover the Lost Knowledge
I shall say nothing about the Romanian performance because there are at least three factors that brought our “team” to fail in such a way. Fine, I will utter them: they were the first to sing, they didn’t sing at their maximum level of performance (because I know their maximum level) and the third reason: this year’s competition was absolutely astonishing, there were a lot of catchy songs, a lot of happiness and so on and so forth.
Other complaints: the Greek song….although it was placed in the second place, although the girl who sang was damn cute and so good, the song was freaking stolen from Justin Timberlake ft. Timbland. You should be ashamed of yourself, man!
The Spanish performance…see, I am against mockery when it comes to this type of contest. Whatever, I am against it.
And the winner? Russian Dima Bilan had three powerful strong points: he is a very good singer, the song is perfect for such a contest, and…Evgheni Plushenko. Enjoy Dima’s performance:
Other songs that I liked: the Armenian song, the Ucrainean song and the Turkish song.

I loved Israel’s song!!! The Russian song was ok, but the Israeli was something else.

For those who think Dima shouldn’t have won, I recommend you see the official video of Believe. Then you will see why he won.

Damn, i have never seen the clip. Hell, i have never heard the song till now anyways, i’m not your average fan of Eurovision :). But the clip is very powerfull and emotional. There’s no way other song could have beaten it. The russian national TV won the contest, not the singer. The melodic line didn’t feel like something out of the ordinary, but the clip did, and i’ve heard that they have made quite a big lobby for it.
As a sidenote, the russians are like pitbulls these days, smelling the upcoming recession in US and building up their image which was kind of shaken during the past years.
Long live Putin!

political vote, no matter how good the video is, it’s still a political vote
