18 Foods That Make Your Skin Glow, by Real Age

Top skin creams average about $400 an ounce (and you thought gas was expensive!), yet most offer little proof that they do half of what they promise. Want to save a bundle and improve your skin? Load your shopping cart with nutrients that research has shown to have skin-hydrating, sun-protecting, and even wrinkle-preventing powers, says Manhattan dermatologist Amy Wechsler, MD. Here’s her grocery list of best foods for your skin.

Stupid Jokes May Cost You…

26 Mar 2008 In: Funny Things, Government

…good money or quality days in prison :D

This year’s NATO Summit takes places in my country - Romania - at Bucharest. Everybody’s so excited, Secret Services and Police have started to prepare everything, all sorts of checking ups, clearing the are and stuff like that. In one word (ok…two words): FUCKING SECURITY!!! Because, as we all know, it is occasions like these which enable terrorist attacks and we wouldn’t like that to happen right? Of course not!

So while everybody is so preoccupied with national freakin’ security and anti-terrorist attack preparations, some crazy ass Romanian blogger makes an announcement on his website Read the rest of this entry »

Celebrity Talk #9

26 Mar 2008 In: Celebrity Nonsense

Hi, today’s picture support comes from Dino. Not Fred Flintstone’s dog, one of the people who e-mailed me. Dude, btw, I’m waiting for an opinion, aight?

So Anne Hathaway, pure and white Anne Hathaway…she’s acting kinda weird in this picture, I’m not sure what she’s trying to do, I’m sure it must be something out of a monkey business reminiscence. Anyway, that’s how I imagine the “conversation”. I’m pretty sure I got it right, of course. Thanks, Dino. Click to enlarge and enjoy!

4,000

26 Mar 2008 In: Government

soldier.jpgSince we’re talking about politics, I was watching the news last night, and of course, what else is all over the news than the death of 4,000 soldiers in Iraq. And no matter how harsh this is going to sound, here’s my opinion: it’s the path one chose, therefore needs to complete it. (Please note that the following lines do not have anything to do with my opinion on the war in Iraq.)

Everyone is talking about all the young ones that fell, well, you know what, that’s what they chose (just like any other job, you have to do it no matter what…actually, in a normal job you can quit if you don’t like/agree with something, but in the military…the point being that you need to think three times before taking this one). They had the chance of not Read the rest of this entry »

I hate politics. Politics is a mind eater. It takes your life away and it turns you into a senseless fucking analyst. It takes away that softness which makes a human being beautiful in the proper sense of the word. Meaning you become immune to any soft, profound thoughts because you have to (over)analyze them, naturally. I hate politics because it turned all your words into mere utterances, but not Words - the ones that used to make my mind stir.

Today in the World - March 25th

25 Mar 2008 In: News

Al-Qaeda directs its efforts towards Europe and Vatican - Bin Laden accuses Pope of crusade in last tape and warns of a severe reaction to European newspapers which have published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, thus insulting all Muslims. If you don’t remember, in 2006, the pope angered many in the Muslim world when he cited a medieval text that characterized some of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as “evil and inhuman,” particularly “his command to spread by the sword the faith.” As for the newspapers, some wackos decided it would be funny to Read the rest of this entry »

25 Mar 2008 In: Celebrity Nonsense

Hey, guys, today’s picture comes from planethiltron.com. That’s a cool place where people like to take pictures of normal gents and ladies and “shop” them so that famous celebs appear to be doing funny stuff or appear to be looking…ahems normal. Weird I mean …weird for them. Anyway, here’s how Tom Cruise will look in 2020…He’ll tell you more about the changes that took place in his life as well. Enjoy!

New Haircut Project

24 Mar 2008 In: Fashion and Beauty, Personal

amis_scream_crop.gifOk….first, you have to know that I have NEVER cut my hair in a hair saloon. And I’m 26! I know…it’s weird, but it is true, I’ve always cut my hair by myself….I didn’t do a bad job either, but I just want something new now and I’ve decided to give specialists a try…HA! So one of these days, tomorrow or the day after, I’m going. Thing is that I have this crazy do in my head and I’m not sure whether the dude (the stylist) is going to get it, you know. Anyway…I thought like this: if he’s going to succeed at it, fine, if he’s not….I’m gonna cut his balls off (and I’m going to wear a hat for a couple of months or so)!! Fair enough in exchange for my long locks. Hehehe!

Ummm….anybody wishes me luck?

UPDATE:

Hhhhyeaaahhh! So I did it, I did cut my hair, but I’m a freakin’ chicken ass for not agreeing to the crazy thing the stylist had in mind. Like…what’s a Manga haircut? Are you kiddin’ me? I want a change, but I don’t want to look like a wacko, mister!

Well, it wasn’t THAT bad, going to a hair stylist I mean. But I believe the result is rather “good child”, as opposed to my initial “bad child” intention. :D Fine, I COULDN’T DO IT!!! I will probably be more crazy next time…I was fuckin’ scared, it’s the middle of the week and tomorrow I have to go to work :)) What if I looked like crazy Dari? I even have a new boooooooss!

And here you go (Drojdie, especially, you horny bastard!)!

Earth Hour 2008

24 Mar 2008 In: News

Switch off! On March 29, 2008, join millions of people around the world to “turn off the lights” for an hour from 8-9 p.m. - making a bold statement about climate change. The project is called Earth Hour and it comes to demonstrate that by working together, each one of us can make a positive impact on this global issue. Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming. Governments, business, communities and individuals on six continents will participate in Earth Hour and agree to make changes that will curb their carbon dioxide emissions. Don’t forget to turn off the lights on the 29th! I will!

Tough but Courageous Choices in Life

24 Mar 2008 In: Food for Thought

Yesterday’s most viewed video on YouTube was one about a Samoan baby called Miracle Tina who has been born with major, but I’m saying MAJOR birth defects. I watched the video, it’s hard to watch, trust me, and I’ve made an opinion about this, in my mind, in my heart.

And then I started to read some of the comments which appear right under the video and I was absolutely astonished. Why? Because Read the rest of this entry »
