Ad Training

6 Sep 2008 In: Ad'Or

… with you, the readers! It’s just a game. Try to guess what these ads promote without reading the description inside this post. Then tell me what you were thinking of the first time. My first guess was hilarious!

In faaaaact, I’m only going to add the description in one or two days! :P

Happy guessing! Looking forward for your ideas!

You know, if it is said ‘you can sell shit in America if you’re a skilled talker’, I suppose you could say “you could cut hair with fire in Washington if you’re one hungry ass Sicilian”. Otherwise I do not understand how people could take this guy seriously… I mean…you’ve got to be kidding me.

Zero Sugar

3 Sep 2008 In: Uncategorized

Hypothesis: Life with no sugar remains as sweet as always because the Coca-Cola Zero drink has the same delicious taste as a normal Coke, but zero sugar. Wheeheeeeyyyy!!!

A powerful reason to believe and some simple ad executions to demonstrate this hypothesis by exposing extremely simple situations. This is the way the Coca-Cola Zero promoters have succeeded to make their point and re-establish their brand by bringing something less (less sugar… NO sugar - an advantage actually), but keeping the same high leveled quality.

We all want MORE in this life, right? More money… more fun… more vacation days… more, more, more! (Ew… Now Britney’s Gimme more is banging in my head…). Well, not quite. Sometimes… a lot of times actually, less is more. Same thing with the Zero Coke. Zero is more! Just like in real life. But how about combining more with less? That would be the dream! No… that would be a successful advertising campaign!

I bet you a lot of money that little bad girl gone good (hyeah, right!) is NOT going to be a good mother. EVER! How do I know? Well… she does have an effect on children, but I don’t know if it is a good one. Actually, I’m pretty sure about that. Take a look for yourself!

Jimmy Kimmel Reloaded

2 Sep 2008 In: Experience this!

WRAP IT UP…..THE JIMMY KIMMEL SHOW PART TWO!!! YOU’VE SEEN PART ONE HERE.

FIRST I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I ENJOYED GOING TO WATCH THE SHOW VERY MUCH.

THE NUMBER ONE QUESTION PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK IS….DID YOU SEE YOURSELF ON TV? THE ANSWER IS NO. THE KIMMEL SHOW IS FILMED ON 2 DIFFERENT NIGHTS. USUALLY, ONE WITH JIMMY’S STAND UP, WHICH IS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW, AND ANOTHER INTERVIEW WITH A GUEST. THE OTHER IS 2 INTERVIEWS AND A CONCERT SEGMENT. WHEN THE CAMERA SWEEPS THE AUDIENCE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW IT WAS THE STAND UP AUDIENCE THAT WAS SHOWN. I WOULD RATHER BE IN THE CONCERT SEGMENT OF THE SHOW ANYTIME. I GOT TO SEE A BIG NAME ARTIST FOR FREE.

WHEN P DIDDY CAME OUT HE CAME OVER AND LAID ACROSS JIMMY’S DESK LIKE A PLAYBOY BUNNY…EVERYONE LAUGHED (WE THOUGHT THIS WAS LIVE ON THE SHOW). THIS PART WAS CUT FROM THE FINAL SHOW.

Do you see this dress? It looks AT LEAST good, right? I think it looks awesome. I don’t know the designer, but he took a chance with that chain and the effect is a positive one, in my opinion. Correct?

… or Mac Art, however you want to call it. Personally, I find Aya Kato‘ work absolutely amazing. Let me tell you a little about this artist.

The most interesting figure of Japanese digital art has built her own style by merging the traditional Japanese art with manga graphics, Art Nouveau decorative techniques and occidental popular culture.

The second biggest economic power in the world, Japan, entered deep into the global consciousness, constantly developing a type of hybrid culture, perfectly adapted to the modern time of the remixes, sample designs and collages.

Aya Kato is the perfect product of this culture, using her Mac and new media with the same virtuosity with which her predecessors were painting the bamboo canvas in ink.
